“GOD” is “GREATER” than the “HIGHS” and “LOWS”
I am not perfect as no one is. I do try my best to put God before anything I do. He is greater than any one of us no matter our lifestyle, skills, accomplishments, or even how good we think we are. The fact remains, we are ALL sinners in the eyes of our creator God. The Old Testament is an account of how God tried and tried to give Israel guidance on how they should live. Even “God’s chosen” people failed time and time again. The New Testament is the “Good News” of the Bible. God decided since we are all born with sin, there needed to be a way for us to become righteous. God had to send His Son through a Virgin so that there was no sin when he was born. That famous woman was known as “The virgin Mary”. She and her Husband Joseph had the task of raising the child of God. Unbelievable task at best, but with God as the Father of our Lord Jesus, He grew up to fulfill the sinless life that he needed to do so that God can make an ultimate sacrifice for our sins that would one day make us righteous if we choose to believe.
The Bible tells us that we need to “Repent” from our sins.
-
- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Acts 3:19
In the Bible, to repent means to experience a profound change of mind and heart, leading to a turning away from sin and a return to God. It’s not just about feeling regret or remorse; it involves a decisive shift in one’s life direction, away from wrongdoing and towards righteousness and obedience to God’s will. Repentance means to “change one’s mind, attitude and purpose,” and carries in its root the sense of pain. Repenting from sins doesn’t simply mean an academic change of mind, but a heartfelt transformation of our minds attitude and purpose away from sins, which if genuine, will lead to the transformation of our actions away from sins according to God’s principles.
The Bible tells us that we need to “Confess” Jesus as our Lord.
-
- because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
The word confess refers to admitting a sin. When we confess our sins to God, we agree with Him that we have broken His law and therefore deserve punishment. Confession recognizes that we are wrong—we are personally guilty. Confession confronts our denial of sin head-on. We are humble enough to say, “Lord, I have sinned against you.” And believers who want to walk in God’s light must be willing to let Him deal radically with their lives.
Everyone has sinned. (Romans 3:23-25a) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness
The Scriptures tell us we are not righteous. (Romans 3:10) As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;
Our sin deserves eternal separation from God in our death, but God prepared for us a way to have eternal life. (Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
It is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. (Romans 10:9-10) If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Everyone can be saved. (Romans 10:11-13) As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew (Israel’s chosen people) and Gentile (all of the rest of us)—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. (Romans 5:1) Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
You are not condemned, because Christ Jesus has set us free. (Romans 8:1-2) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death
God’s love is eternal for us. (Romans 8:38-39) For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
All will confess that Jesus is the Son of God, are you ready to make that change in your life. If so, get down on your knees and confess your sins to God and accept the sacrifice of Jesus as your payment for your sins. Seek him on a daily basis and get involved in a Bible believing church. Don’t delay, God says the time is short. If you have been feeling a tug on your heart, that is God calling you and your time is now. Jesus loves you and wants you to be with Him for all eternity.
